Join us for a groundbreaking video blog series, as we follow Rafael Gonzalez and his team in a real-life Oracle Cloud migration project for one of our customers. Hopefully, the Journey to Oracle Cloud will lead to a successful project. No matter what, we will document the whole journey from beginning to end. And we hope that you will follow us along the way.
In episode 01, Rafael has a quick chat with cloud architect Ajit Hegde, about the scope and complexity of the cloud migration project.
Moving to the cloud needs effort, but will substantially eliminate complexity in the operations.

The Oracle stack:
The customer has a 10 year old very complex platform, tied up around various Oracle solutions, such as Business Intelligence (BI), Data Warehouse (DW), middleware and more. The technical debt is quite deep.
It means that in order to come up with the best solution to move to the cloud in a structured and painless way (and without too much risk), there are many considerations that must be made.
You don’t want to boil the ocean but rather divide and conquer and put the method in place to move it to cloud in a risk-free manner
Ajit Hegde, SYSCO
SYSCO provides specialized consultants with high professionalism as well as a secure operation and monitoring of IT infrastructure and databases both on-prem and in the cloud.

Our focus is always on the customer, and in SYSCO we make a virtue of understanding our customers' business, their current IT infrastructure, and the possibilities within technology.
Some of the primary challenges we see with our customers are how to deal with security, governance/control and the management of cloud costs.
